About me

Learn more about me

I’m Valli (she/her), a queer woman of South Indian heritage, born in Mauritius and now based in the UK, which has been my home since I was 18.

My personal journey has shaped the way I work as a therapist. Growing up between cultures — and later navigating a new one far from my family — brought its own set of challenges. In my early years in the UK, I found myself trying to fit in by adapting to the culture around me.

While this helped me find my place in many ways, it also left me feeling disconnected from my roots and unsure of where I truly belonged.

My Journey to Therapy

These experiences led to inner struggles around identity, belonging, and self-worth — and, eventually, to personal therapy. That space gave me the chance to slow down, reflect, and meet myself with greater compassion. It became the foundation of my healing and the catalyst for my decision to train as a therapist.

How My Experience Shapes My Practice

Today, my work is deeply informed by that journey — the complexities of holding multiple identities, the impact of cultural dislocation, and the power of therapy to reconnect us with who we are. I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you can explore your own story at your own pace.
