I’m Valli (she/her), a queer woman of South Indian heritage, born in Mauritius and now based in the UK, which has been my home since I was 18.
My personal journey has shaped the way I work as a therapist. Growing up between cultures — and later navigating a new one far from my family — brought its own set of challenges. In my early years in the UK, I found myself trying to fit in by adapting to the culture around me.
While this helped me find my place in many ways, it also left me feeling disconnected from my roots and unsure of where I truly belonged.
